Join a weekly protest organized by the Carolina Peace Resource Center at the Gervais Street side of the SC State House this Saturday, August 31 from 11 AM to Noon.
This week's special speaker is Regina Moore, Executive Director of the SC Christian Action Council.
"Israel has killed over 40,00 Palestinians in its onslaught on Gaza, which is closer to genocide than self-defense. Meanwhile, Israel has barred food, clean drinking water, medicine and medical access to a civilian population of over 2 million, 85% of whom have been displaced, turning Gaza into a literal concentration camp. Starvation is being used as a weapon as Gaza descents into a man-made famine.
"We demand an immediate ceasefire and humanitarian aid in Gaza. We call on our leaders to suspend arms and support for Israel which enables this violence and makes them complicit in Israel's war crimes. We call for accountability for all war crimes. We call for the dismantling of Israel's apartheid system that is oppressing Palestinians and denying them freedom, justice and equality."
